In addition to HealthSouth hospitals, it manages three inpatient rehabilitation units through management contracts. In August 2011, the Company sold five long-term acute care hospitals (LTCHs). In April 2013, it announced that it has completed the purchase of Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, a 58-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital formerly owned by Georgia Rehabilitation Institute, Inc., and doing business as Walton Rehabilitation Hospital in Augusta, Ga. HCA：世界最大的醫院集團

HCA非研究或教育單位，只是單純的醫院，
收入並非直接來自使用者，
而是健保機構或保險公司，這類的第三者。

看HCA財報，第一眼就注意到
Provision for doubtful account 11.3%，
醫院還真是高風險行業，
不過羊毛出在羊身上，在收費時應該已經考慮進去了。

最大收入來自Managed Care and other insurers(54.6%)，
在網上查了一下，美國健保制度還蠻複雜，
看完之後還是霧煞煞，
簡而言之Managed Care就是健保，
大部分雇主都採用Managed Care。
網友說我們的健保就是ManagedCare，
健保機構會涉入醫療行為以控制成本減少浪費，
為人詬病的是Managed Care會造成醫院提供過少的醫療服務給病患。

Medicare(23.3%) 是針對65歲以上及身心障礙者的健保。
Medicaid(4.3%) 是低收入戶的健保。

HCA旗下有165家醫院(2009年有155家)，
合計有42,896張病床，一般社區醫院約1-200張床。
病床使用率54%，
如果以後有買HCA的股票，希望他們能高使用率。
(這種期待好像怪怪的)。

平均每天有22,853住院病患，每年都有成長，
較2009年成長了約10%。
2013年掛急診的人數近7百萬也較2009年成長25%。

最大的成本是員工薪資福利佔341.8億營收的45%，
營收較2009年成長約27.7%，
但薪資成本成長約30.7%。
公司解釋留住好的人員是為確保公司競爭優勢。
公司在2006年被幾家PE聯手LBO後(淨值就負了)，
現在背了288億的債務，每年利息約18.5億。

HCA提供給健保單位較優的折扣，透過簽約合作，
未來收入應該還是很穩定。
除非健保制度有較大對醫院不利的改革。

各種數據看起來覺得醫院是不錯的生意，
但HCA有些舉措實在看不懂：
1. 2011年重新上市不久後就從BOA手上回購股份
(約15%流通股數)
2. 2012年合計發了6.5元special dividend
3. 2014年PE拿2,950萬股出來賣，
公司回購其中7億5千萬元的股票。

一般公司會強調如何回饋股東，
但HCA除了強調股價表現外，其它都沒提，
感覺上HCA好像是PE的禁臠。

HCA便宜價到囉~! HCA這半年來跌了近16%，曾試圖分析其原因，但就像chenleon1同學分享的，美國健保實在太複雜了，看了半天還是搞不太懂，只知道川普幹掉歐巴馬健保後藥局跟醫院都大受打擊，留給有研究的同學來補充了

DVA股價

本篇#2有貼過THC，用舊的盈再表按表現不好，最新盈再表按起來極優，
拿來跟HCA比較，THC每年的非經常利益都虧損嚴重(常利：非經常利益比例)，
若只是短期一、二年的非經常利益嚴重虧損周轉應該是沒關係，
請問老師及同學先進們，非經常利益這麼長期性多年的虧損嚴重，
不考慮進去的話，周轉會不會出現問題？？？

監獄股印象中之前有看過，卻都找不到了，
貼這邊不曉得合不合適…

THC的淨值都來自少數淨值，
母公司淨值為負，
可見它已成控股公司，負責醫院的投資買賣

剛剛仔細看了WIKI，
THC1990年以前惡名昭彰，浮報醫療費和健保，
股價也大起大落。

經政府勒令改造之後漸上軌道，
公司一直在併購其它醫院，
這是為何配不出現金、母公司淨值全來自少數淨值，
以及一直有非經常損失的原因，因要打消停業部門損失。

看它過去30多年來一直在併醫購院，
也知手上現金滿滿，
絕非淨利所顯示的只賺一點點錢。
